|12 March||Beyond the Back of Beyond||Peter Greaves||We are delighted to have Peter return to talk about another of his birding adventures. Here is what he says about his talks:|
"I call them 'adventures' as they are not a lecture on Birdwatching and not a string of photos of birds.
I will take you with me as I relive the adventure and get everyone involved in the journey, the anecdotes, the stories, the places and the questions that arise from my 'adventure'."
|9 April||Improving Personal Wellbeing and Perforance||Peter Smanjak||Peter Smanjak has spent 25 years in the financial services industry, and many of those in the healthcare side. Using the principles of risk management he is able to coach and advise on what could be detrimental to an organisation or an individual across various aspects of living. |
He has founded a company that works with organisation's and individuals to create personalised health and financial performance strategies. Peter's focus is on improved well-being to bring about improved personal performance.
|14 May||Captivating Croatia||John Chapman||John Chapman has been lucky enough to visit Croatia on several occasions. His talk, "Captivating Croatia” will expose his audience to the many interesting towns, historical architecture, scenery and some of the history of this photogenic country.|
This small Balkan country is fast becoming one of Europe's most popular destinations and has featured in the filming of Game of Thrones.
|11 June||Why Owls?||Brendon Murray||Owl Rescue Centre was founded by Brendan Murray following a lifelong interest and passion for birds of prey. Brendan spent most of his young life observing and studying birds. He came to the realization a few years ago that owls specifically need help to protect them from becoming endangered, and so Owl Rescue Centre was born.|
|9 July||Pangolins||Alexis Kriel||Alexis is from the Wild Dog Estate and will be talking on the highly endangered Pangolin|
|13 August||The History of Morgenster Wine and Olive Estate||Cornell Kruger||Cornell is from the Morgenster Wine Estate and his talk will be about the history of Morgenster Wine and Olive Estate from 1700 to 1992 and the evolution of the olive industry in South Africa.|
